Along the road to creating ROTU we've had to learn some things the hard way, but as much as possible, have tried to learn from those who've already been there and done it. So, here are some tips we've put together for entrepreneurial success:
Put your team together swiftly - there will be moments when you realize you need talent or help for some important area of your business. You can't do everything yourself anyway. As soon as you're ready to grow there's no point in delaying hiring.
Don't be afraid of criticism - fostering a culture of honesty can be hugely crucial to success. If your team feels you're too sensitive to tell you the truth you could miss out on incredibly valuable insights that just might make or break your business. If people are holding information back, it could lead to unfortunate surprises later on.
Be superior to your competition - seems obvious but if you want to make it, then aim high and ensure there's a reason to choose you over other companies or products. You should be better in at least one critical or unique aspect.
Take pride in your endeavor - a startup can be an all consuming undertaking, so it better be something that you're passionate and excited about. If it inspires you enough to not always feel like work, then the hustle is going to come more naturally.
Develop a mindset that welcomes flexibility - a good entrepreneur starts off with clarity of vision, but things may not pan out as planned. It's far more likely that ideas and strategies will be reimagined. Marketplaces constantly change and you must adapt with them, especially in the case of ROTU since VR technology is continually and rapidly evolving.
